While I was away last week, Doug decided it was time to tear off our old deck, which was quite rotten in places. So now we have the job of building a new one and I've been looking for some patio furniture to put on it. The start of a new week

But this week won't be quite as busy as last week. I went away for a few days on course and had a great time, learned lots of things that I can use at work and at home with the kids, which is a bonus. We spent 2 nights at the Ramada in Dartmouth, Tues. night Michelle and I hung out at the pool and played on the water slide, Wed. night we did some shopping and after class on Thrus. we came home. Since that I've been trying to catch up on some sleep because nobody ever sleeps as good away as they do at home. Today I went to town to pick up a few things and came home and had a visit with DL, Doug's cooking up a storm and we'll have birthday cake for him after supper, his birthday is tomorrow but that's my night to work so we'll have it today.

Spring means it's time to do some house cleaning and maybe even changing some of the things in your home. I love shopping for new home furniture. I'd love to have a new bedroom set, ours was pretty cheap and we didn't get the dresser or anything with it, which we need. A yucky Sunday evening

So much for the beautiful weather we had last weekend, the last few days it's been cloudy, cool and today we have lots of rain. Today was Breanna's last day at the rink, she did her test for her Dutch Waltz and passed, a whole lot of work for less than a minute. LOL It was good to come home and empty out her bag and put everything away. I still have to pack up her dresses for the summer, there's probably a few of them that I could sell since they won't fit her next year and I'm not even sure that she's going back next year, right now she says she's not but we know how minds can change.

Today was a beautiful spring day, finally! We've had snow, wind, rain, hail, everything but sun and warm temps, until today. Of course, I spend the day looking out from in the store but I did sit out for most of my lunch hour so it wasn't all a waste.

It's been a busy week here, my sister came home for a funeral, her husband's brother was killed in a MVA. A bad reason to have to come home but it's great to have her around for a couple of weeks. The funeral was today and I haven't talked to her yet today, haven't really spent much time with her at all but I know we'll have some time once things settle down for the family.

Blinds

It's time for some spring cleaning and some redecorating. On my spring cleaning and redecorating list this year is to get some new blinds for my bedroom and the kids bedrooms. I've been looking around on line and have come across as site with some great ones for sale. They have many different styles and the prices can't be beat, they are also having a tax refund sale, offering 25% off! Gotta love a good sale! I think I've decided on a beautiful roman shade for our room, one that blocks light out for those weekend mornings that I love to sleep in!
