Sad Day

It's a sad day in our house. Our neighbor, Pearl, passed away yesterday. We all thought she was quite a lady. She was 93 years old as as of last year, still bowled at least once a week. People have always dropped kitties on her door step knowing that she'd look after them. She only has one right now, Mamma Kitty, who we've been feeding when Pearl isn't home. Rest in Peace Pearl.

So what's new?

Ummmm, nuthin? LOL I'm off today and am supposed to move my bed but it's too damn cold to put it in front of the heater yet, so I'm going to hold off on that. The weather has gone back to normal May weather, cold and rainy. Our pool is suppose to get filled up at the end of the month, I'm thinking we should just get it out and let the rain fill it up, why waste all this rain? LOL And it would be so much cleaner than what is put in it when the fire department fills it up. I hope this summer it will actually be warm enough for me to get in it, it has to be 85+ for me to get in, so I havne't been in this one yet, even though we've had it for 2 years. We get it filled the last weekend of May, it will take a couple of weeks to get it cleaned up and get the chemicals right, then Breanna will start to bug me about going in. After a week of her insisting that the water is warm enough to go in, me insisting that it's no where near warm enough, I'll tell her to go for it, just to shut her up. She'll get in, turn blue, shiver and shake but won't admit it's cold, then she'll get out and won't ask to go back in till it warms up.

Josh has been doing some fishing but hasn't caught anything yet. He's going to miss the tournament here that he has gone in for a few years, it's the same day as the Slow Pitch Tournament. So he's going to head to the campground the next week with Doug's sister, Aunt Suesue. They have another tournament out there. He's looking forward to going away with them, he's never gone before. My kids never go away for the night, it will be strange to have him gone for the weekend. The weekend after that it will be our 12th anniversary! Woohoo!

Well I better go get some vegies on to go with the chicken that's in the oven. Later!
