Another beautiful day

And it's Friday too! Breanna just went out to the bus in her capri's and a T-shirt, gotta love this weather. I'm still not convinced that we won't get a big snow storm before this is over. There's been forest fires all over this week, the one out in Port Mouton was terrible.

We have to go to Bridgewater tonight to get Miss Breanna a new bike, she's out grown hers so this is her year for a new one, I make sure they never need one the same year. I also have to take a few things back to Zellers that I bought in Greenwood the other day.

So the boss and I went on our road trip, which Doug now referrs to as "Dumb and Dumber's Most Excellent Adventure". Ya, we got lost, a few times. LOL

We are having a bake sale tomorrow at work. I made some fudge last night and have to see if it's fit to eat, if it is, I'll make another pan of it. Also have to make some cookies, that's Doug's department. All proceeds go to the Helen Keller Foundation.

Skating starts again on Saturday and I think I have everything ready, not too much to do for spring school so it's quite a lot easier. Only another month and we'll be finished till fall. Yay!

Anyway, it's nap time for a bit then try and get some work done around here, then take Josh to physio. Have a good weekend!

Could it be?

Could spring be here? The sun is out, the temp. is suppose to go up to 10, can we get that lucky? Sure we can and then next week we'll get a nice big snow storm. LOL Life in the maritimes. I love spring, especially the first part of it, before the flies come out. Then I stay inside again. LOL

I worked the close shift last night, only 13 more sleeps till we go to our new hours and will close at 9 on weeknights. Tomorrow I'm going to Greenwood with the boss, she's going to a meeting and I'm going window shopping, no I don't need new windows, I just don't have any money.

On Saturday it will be 12 years since the day I found out that my baby boy had Spina Bifida. I had to wait until the next week to get in to the IWK/Grace and see a Dr. there, who did an ultrasound and told me that yes, my baby had Spina Bifida and most likely, hydrocephulas, he'd probably never walk, did I want to abort. I knew he had movement in his legs, he used to kick the remote off my belly. The Dr. told us to go out for lunch and come back with my decision. So we went to Smitty's where my sister and father ate their lunch, and mine too, since I cried all through lunch. LOL With everyone wanting me to abort my baby at 23 weeks I felt so alone but I stood my ground. Almost 12 years later my baby boy has had 12 operations, has played soccer, loves to ride his bike, loves to fish and made 98 on Science on his report card. He wants to be a Storm Chaser when he grows up and knowing Josh, if he wants to do it, he will.

I'm adding a picture that amazes me and brings me to tears every time I see it. It was taken while a Dr. was performing surgery to close a baby's back, which they can do now before the baby is born, when I had Josh that wasn't heard of

Thanks To Debbie for sending me this...

My True Friendship Pledge

Are you tired of those sissy-ass "friendship" poems that always sound
good, but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a series of
promises that actually speak of true friendship:

1. When you are sad -- I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad.

2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

3. When you smile -- I will know you finally got laid.

4. When you are scared -- I will try to calm your nerves, unless it is
something silly then I will rag on you about it every chance I get.

5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how
much worse it could be until you quit whining.

6. When you are confused I will use little words.

7. When you are sick -- Stay the hell away from me until you are well
again. I don't want whatever you have.

8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass, but then I
will help you get up.

9. This is my oath..... I pledge it to the end. "Why?" you may ask; "because you are my friend".

Remember.......A good friend will help you move.....a REALLY good friend will help you move a body.......let me know if you ever need me to bring a
shovel.

Friendship is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it, but only you
can feel the true warmth

My BlogMad Ranking

It looks like spring out there

But it feels like winter, dang it's cold out! Another weekend is over, I had the weekend off from CanSkate but will be back at it next weekend for Spring School.

Josh got his bike out over the weekend and did great, he looks a lot better now that he's getting some color back in his face. It will be 6 weeks tomorrow since surgery and he's pretty much back to normal. Next week I'll give him the go ahead to go back to gym class, he knows his limits, he knows if it hurts, don't do it. We go for Spina Bifida clinic on the 19th of April. I'm sure I'm going to catch hell from his orthopedic Dr for taking him to therapy without him telling me to, but in my opinion it should have been done when he had his leg operated on in the fall. If therapy helps him walk better and makes him feel better about it then it's worth it right?

Today will be a busy one, I sent my Avon order this morning, have to go have my B12 shot, mail some games that I sold on eBay, I love eBay. Then Josh has therapy and then I go to work, sounds like fun doesn't it?

Oh, Nemo has been replaced with Nemo II, Breanna has decided that this Nemo is a girl, even though it says they are all males. Instead of the normal fight with her I told her that Nemo could be whatever she wanted it to be, she wants a girl? Fine, Nemo II is a girl. Problem solved. LOL And besides Nemo looks too girlish to be a boy, "she" is white with pink flecks.

You know, I hate the design on this blog, too bad I'm not smart enough to make my own, I've been going to lots of different ones through BlogMad and just love some of them, I'm either going to have to find someone to do it for me, or wait till I retire. LOL Not that I'll be any smarter then.
