Hurricane Earl

Well we made it through the hurricane with lots of leaves all over the yard and in the pool, the garbage can and green bin got knocked over but other than that we did fine. Well we were fine till about 2 when the power went out and didn't come back on till around 7. I was very happy when it came on considering when I called at supper time I was told it would be back on my 6pm on Monday, that would have really sucked.

Other than going out to Western Head to see the ocean we didn't do much. I've been watching movies for the last couple of hours, first was The Backup Plan and now I'm watching Marmaduke. Both good movies.

Where did our summer go?

I can not believe that today is the last day of August. Where did summer go? The kids go back to school on Friday and then Fall will soon follow, which I hate, not because I hate fall but because I hate winter, with a passion.

Josh got his license on the 4th of August, so my son and my car are never home. LOL Actually, it's not that bad, he'll go to the store for me or go take his sister places or pick up her friends, he knows he's not allowed to just take the car and go to town or something like that, if you are taking the car you have a reason, not just to go hang out.

I took the kids to the city last Friday to finish up back to school shopping, we went, we shopped, we were home before 3. LOL That's the way I like to go to the city. Josh bought his own back to school clothes for the first time, which was nice, I just had to get Breanna's.

We are in the middle of a heat wave here, it's been over 30 for the last 2 days and is supposed to stay that way for the rest of the week, then on Saturday there is a good chance we are going to get hit with Hurricane Earl. It's coming right at us and is a category 4 right now but they think kit will be a 2 when it hits us. Could make for an interesting weekend!
