What's in your garage?

If you have a garage, what do you do with it? We don't have one but would I ever love to! Doug and I have often looked at the different kinds of garages that people have. I'd even love to have one that wasn't joined to the house, just so we'd have the storage space. Everything that is stored in our basement would be in the garage, lawn mower, bikes, tools and more tools! Once everything got moved out, we could finish the basement with all that extra space that we'd have!

Whew, are you sure it's Oct.?

If I didn't know better, I'd think it was still Aug. It's almost 6:30 and the temp is still 16. Now there's a little rain coming down so it's getting muggy along with being warm, we sure aren't used to this in Oct.

The kids and I went up to the hospital to take Mom her 7-up and pick up her laundry, she's still doing about the same, she was dressed tonight, instead of just wearing her night dress they got her to put on her pj pants and a T-shirt, which is good. She was growling because she doesn't have a jacket up there, not sure where she thinks she's going that she needs a jacket!

I'm just sitting back and waiting for bed time, I'm so sleepy, last night I spent the night going from my bed to the couch and didn't get much sleep, I hope tonight is better. It's so weird not going to work for a few days, I'll be spoiled rotten and not want to go back, no I shouldn't say that, I miss it, once you are in a routine it's hard to do something different. I'll be glad to get back to normal again.

Lap Band, is it for you?

I'm sure, like me, you've all heard of the great new weight loss surgery that is available. I've done some research on it and from what I've read, it seems to be a great thing! If I hadn't lost the weight I have in the last year I would have been looking much further into the Conroe Lap band. I love the idea of it being day surgery, no overnight stays in the hospital, you have it done in the morning and by night you are home in your own bed. I also love that it's reversable, that's a first for weight loss surgeries. So if you've thought about taking the step to a healthier life, go check out the link, this looks like a great place to start!

Still sniffing

I'm still at it but hope by tomorrow this time it will soon be getting better. Not much new to report on this end, I haven't left the house in couple of days except to go to the Doctor, nothing too thrilling for sure. Tonight is registration for cheerleading, Breanna can't wait for it to start, and Mom can't wait for her to burn off some of that energy she has. Without skating this year she needs some place to burn off the energy and the calories! I think this is going to be a great thing, Tina is going to make sure they understand that they have to work at it, every day.

Not much new to report on Mom, she's doing about the same, no better, no worse. I'm going to start getting some of her utilities shut off that she's not going to need any time soon, like her phone and cable, it's stupid to pay for it when she's not going to be there, the rest can wait till we find out if she's going to be going home again, which I don't think will happen but it's still too soon to tell.

Headache treatment

I've been cursed with migraines for most of my life and my daughter is following in my footsteps, it's so hard to see a 9 year old get so sick from a headache. So when looking for help in dealing with our headaches, I've found some great sites with lots of information on headache treatment. This site has Doctors that are dedicated to helping people who suffer from headaches, so if you too suffer, go check them out!

Hey from the land of the sick

I just hope this isn't a sign of what's to come for winter, I've been sick for almost 2 weeks with no sign of it going anywhere soon. I have to go to the Dr at 5 today so I hope I can get some good drugs that will kill whatever the heck I have. Along with being sick, it's been a very busy few weeks. My Mom had a stroke about 10 days ago and isn't doing too great, so when I'm not at work, I'm at the hospital trying to keep her company. It's hard, seeing that I hadn't spoken to her in almost 6 years, but we are doing okay.
