Gettin better

I thought I had it made on Sunday, woke up feeling great, no pain, just sore, went to cheer, had a great day. Then Monday rolls around, my middle incision was sore and hard as a rock, a lot of pain where my ovary would have been. I put up with it till last night when a couple of friends were threatening to drag me to the hospital, LOL. Anyway, Gary was on call so it just took a minute once I finally got in there, infection and a blood clot around the incision. I'm on antibiotics and should be feeling better tomorrow. Sleeping is hard, every time I turn over I wake up so last night I slept most of the night in my lazy boy, that way I'm not trying to roll over and waking up every hour.

Galaxy Tablet PC.

I always have a list of electronics that I'd like to have and this one tops my list right now. I have the Galaxy S phone and LOVE it so it's only natural for me to want the Galaxy Tablet PC. This looks so cool, I love apps, I have lots for my phone, I can just imagine how many I'd have with this. If you have thought of buying one for yourself, check out The Source, where they have free shipping to any store location. So even if it's not in-stock in your local store, you can have it shipped there and just run in and pick it up, easy as pie.

Julbo Explorer Glacier Glasses

I was looking around on line for some sunglasses and came across these, Julbo Explorer Glacier Glasses. They are top of the line Julbo Explorer sunglasses, which are designed to perform the best at high altitudes. Being up too high can cause eye damage from the sun and reflections. I've never seen or even heard about these but they are very cool looking!

Surgery is OvEr!

Well that one is over anyway. Went in yesterday morning and came home minus an ovary, a few cysts and some things that were questionable, everything has been sent off and now we just wait for the pathology report. I'm pretty sore today so haven't been up and around quite as much as I was yesterday when I got home but you know, other people need their beauty sleep, so I was on my own for awhile.

I didn't sleep much last night, I stayed out in my lazy boy where I didn't have to worry about getting punched in the gut. I slept from about 1:30-4:30 then after Doug went to work I turned on my heated mattress pad and blanket and waited an hour for my bed to be nice and toasty then had a 4 hour nap, would have been even longer if my daughter hadn't decided to call and check on me. LOL

I was telling them in the OR yesterday that I've been waiting to have my back done, they told me to expect another 2 years, I guess orthopedic surgery has gotten even more backlogged. Once I'm feeling better I'll call the booking nurse and see what she's telling me now, I really want it over-with, it's time to be pain free, or at least in a minimal amount of pain.

Anyway, time to get back to my book, still waiting for my Kindle to come but I already have books on my wishlist just waiting!

We made it!

We made it! No heart attacks happened, it came and went and went well. I got the things I needed at the last minute and even though it wasn't as much as they used to get, they didn't mind at all. Josh worked Christams Eve till 10 and went back in Christmas Day 3-10, so both nights Breanna and I went over to visit him for awhile, it was very hard not having him here. The kids other parents, across the road, came over Christmas Eve when Josh got off, so we could have our Christmas with them, they were here till about 12, I got to bed around 2 and Josh was the first one up, around 8. We opened pressies and relaxed a bit then were off to Doug's parents for dinner. Jeff, Kelly and Meagan came down after dinner for a visit.

No plans here for New Years, well I shouldn't say no plans, I think we are going to go to Bridgewater to see a movie, better than nothing. If Jeff and Kell had been staying till New Years we probably would have gone over to Alley 9 with them for awhile but they are leaving tomorrow so we aren't going out. Some friends want us to go to a dance but I have gained so much weight that I can't get my dress clothes on and I'm not planning to stay this size so I refuse to buy any new clothes. Except PJ's, I need to get a couple pair of jammies just in-case I have to stay in the hospital when I have surgery. I'm booked for day surgery but it depends on if they have to open me right up or do it with the little incisions. Just my luck he'd keep me and I only have 1 good pair of PJ pants.

Doug and I didn't exchange gifts this year so I got a new heating pad from my in-laws and a vibrating frog from Meikka, an Angel from my Aunt and then this morning I got up to a wonderful surprise, my big Sis bought me a Kindle, something I've wanted for the last year. I spend so much on books since there isn't much I can do. I can't wait to get it. I might not have much family but at times like this I know that I have the family I need. I love her very much and miss her enough to turn me in to a bawling mess at times.

Anyway, thought I'd better check in before you all thought I did have that heart attack and fall in the tree :) Times I thought I could, not from a heart attack but from pain, but I've got my eye on the prize, 2011 is going to be a year to get fixed up and move on and even though I know it's going to be hell, with my friends I know I will be well looked after, they know who they are and I hope they know how much I love them.
