Happy Birthday In Heaven

Today would have been my father's 67th birthday if he was still with us. For the last week I have been dreaming of him, not good dreams, reliving the last few months that he was alive, dreaming of him laying in his bed crying, he didn't want to die, dreaming of him being so sick that he wanted to die, it's been terrible, so I haven't been sleeping much. I hope that with his birthday here, my dreams will go back to good ones, remembering how much we loved him and he loved us, not a day goes by that I don't wish he was still here.

So Happy Birthday in Heaven Dad, we love you and miss you more than words can say.

Good news from the IWK

I heard back from Colleen at clinic yesterday, the neurosurgeon doesn't think it's the tethered cord causing the problems, he thinks Josh may just have a virus, so we're going to give it a couple of weeks and see if it works itself out. So that's good news, no trips to the hospital for the time being.

It's cloudy here today and calling for a icky weekend. I have to work nights all weekend so it would have been nice to see the sun. But our weather has been off for 2 weeks so it's hard to say what will happen. The long range forcast is now calling for rain next Saturday, we hope that changes. We'll be in the city at the Spina Bifida Slowpitch tournament.

Not much else to report here, have a good weekend everyone!

Go Tyler!

Tonight is the final American Idol, Tyler did a wicket show last night and I hope we see him win tonight, he just seems like such a down to earth, nice guy. GO TYLER!

I had to call clinic yesterday about Josh, he's having some problems that are probably the result of his tethered cord. I'll hear back today and will know if he has to go in for a MRI that will tell them for sure. If it's the cord, they will know if it's bad enough to do surgery or if we can hold off longer, it won't be done until it has to be.

The pool came out of the basement last night and is now waiting for water, that will come on the weekend. I'll post a picture when we get it filled, it looks like a big bowel of chicken soup, it's so gross looking. Hard to believe that you can clean it up when it looks that bad.

The kids are doing well and are counting down till the end of June when vacation starts. Josh has lots of projects and tests going on right now so I'm after him all the time to get them done. I know it sucks to have stuff to do when the weather is nice but that's how it goes.

Anyway, had a bad night with my back so I'm going to try and have a little nap. I'll update later today when I hear from clinic.

Don't you hate it when they prove you wrong

I forgot to mention this earlier. Josh had an English project due this past Monday. Last weekend I asked if he had it done and he said he did, he did it in school. So I spend the weekend freaking out about not bringing stuff home to do and whatnot, I'm sure I had him just about drove crazy with me rantting about him failing this project. So yesteday he comes home with said project. Grinning from ear to ear. He got 49/50 LOL Ok, so I was wrong...this time...

The Friday before a long weekend

The long weekend is here, our "official" start of summer. The camppers head to the campgrounds, the pools start popping up and the black flies and mosquitoes fight for space.

We aren't suppose to have a great weekend weather wise, it's calling for rain or cloundy with showers all weekend but it was suppose to rain the last 2 days and it didn't so we hope the same thing happens. I have to work all weekend so it's not like the weather can screw up my plans. LOL

Well Breanna's dentist appointment was yesterday and she did very well. She had 2 fillings and 1 baby tooth taken out. So 2 kids +4 appointments =$700.00 Damn good thing my Dr's office is in the same building, I thought I was going to pass out. The kids got a good lecture when I got home and will be brushing their teeth more or I'm going to duct tape the toothbrushes in their mouths. Needless to say the thought of a girls night out tonight aint gonna happen. I'll watch Cheaper by the Dozen 2 instead, much cheaper. LOL

I wached ER last night, wow, what a way to end the season! I can't wait to see how it all turns out in the fall, it was a great show. So now my shows that I watch are all over, atleast till Big Brother starts in the summer. Time to catch up on some movies that we didn't get to see over the winter. You'd think working at Movie Gallery I'd be all caught up eh? NOPE! I think I watched more movies before I started working there than I do now, which by the way was almost a year ago!

Well I should go have a shower and do some cleaning before work. Have a great weekend everyone!

It's dentist week here

Good morning bloggers! The kids had their dental check-ups last week and both needed fillings, Josh had his yesterday and Breanna goes on Thursday. Josh's went okay, he got upset once because one spot wasn't frozen enough. I went out to wait in the waiting room and when he came out I asked him how he made out and he told me, "Mom! It hurt like hell!" Excuse me??????????? As soon as he realized he said it he had this look that he wanted the floor to swallow him. LOL So Thursday should be intereseting. Breanna doesn't like Drs. or dentists or anyone else some days.

I hope everyone had a good Mother's Day. Mine was great. The kids got me a little teddy bear and cards. I called and talked to my sis for awhile, she had to be my mother a lot when we were growing up, most times our mother was too out of it to be much more than a pain in the ass. When Mom sued me Linda stood by my side through the whole thing, took time off for lawyer appointments and went to court with me so I wouldn't have to face Mom by myself. So she's more than just a sister, she's a Mom, big sis and one of my best friends. She moved 3 years ago to BC to be with her highschool boyfriend Paul and they are getting married this summer on July 15th. Looks like I won't be there, the flights are too much and I wouldn't be able to take the kids with me, I know I'm a wuss for not wanting to leave my kids, but hey, that's me. LOL

Speaking of Linda, her oldest, Matthew is in Peru working for a month. As much as I love my sis, I love her kids just as much. Matthew is a geological engineer and Bethy is a store manager. I haven't seen the kids for a long time and miss them both bunches. I'll post a few of Matthew's pictures from Peru, I hope he'll keep updating his photo album, it looks like quite a place.

Well I guess I should get some work done around here before it's time to go to work. Have a good one!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!
