Week 2 of 2006

What's up? Not much going on in the new year here, all is quiet and quiet is good. The kids are back into the routine of school after their Christmas break, things are back to normal.

We are getting a new computer this week! I had hoped it would be here today but since I haven't gotten a call I'd say it's not today. It will probably be tomorrow, I work nights and then all day on Thurs. so I won't get to play. *pout* I'm more excited about getting a new camera, I love my camera, can't wait to get some good skating pictures.

The time is getting closer for Josh's operation and as it gets closer, Mommy panics some more. I am dreading this but it's got to be done and there's no "good" time to do it. I've talked to some of the teachers, he's doing well this year and they think we can get through this without him getting too behind. I sure hope so, I know the first week he's not going to be able to do any work.

Speaking of Josh, he has a check up next Monday, as long as there's no snow. This is for his leg, where I'm sure the Dr. will say, "Oh Mom, that looks GREAT, I did a wonderful job!" Ya, okay, Doc, the foot looks better but the poor kid doesn't walk any better than he did before!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF did we put him through that for?????????? OMG!
I hope to get a new blog ready for his surgery, his other one is all messed up and he'd like it to look more interesting, which would be fine, if his mother had a clue what she was doing. LOL

Anyway, time to figure out what I'm going to feed the kids before Breanna and I take off for our 4 hours in the rink.

Happy New Year People!

Happy New Year to my friends and family! May we all be bless with a wonderful 2006. I don't have a saying this year, I can't come up with anything that would beat my "Troll Free in 2003" diddy. LOL Oh yea, then I had "Trolls out the door in 2004". Now I'm old and have no imagination, maybe toinght when I get home from the dance. LOL

I know, no pics from Christmas yet, my computer is acting freaky, imagine that, it's paid for this week and I think it knows it. I didn't take many pictures anyway, so they are staying on the camera till I know they will get from point a, the camera, to point b, my computer. Maybe we'll get some good pics tonight at DL's. :)

And so for the last time in 2005, have a great one everyone!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! The weekend the kiddies have all been waiting for has come and it will go just as quick. I think I'm ready, not sure yet, I might be sure by tomorrow night. LOL I have to work tonight until 10 and tomorrow until 5 then we are off to my in-laws for the family pot luck supper.

It's a bittersweet time for me, I love to watch my children enjoy Christmas time but I also miss my family. My Dad and Nan, my Grammie and Grandfather, my Mom, who turned into a troll and I have nothing to do with and my sister and her children who are on the west coast.

Here's a poem I like to read around Christmas time:

Christmas In Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees
around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars,
reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular,
please wipe away the tear.
For I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs
that people hold so dear.
But the sounds of music can't compare
with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you,
the joy their voices bring,
for it is beyond description,
to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me,
I see the pain inside your heart.
But I am not so far away,
we really aren't apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones,
you know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift,
from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory
of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious
than pure gold.
It was always most important
in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other,
as my Father said to do.
For I can't count the blessings or love
He has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and
wipe away that tear.
Remember, I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.

Birthday party pictures

Oops! I forgot to post pictures from Miss Breanna's 8th birthday, so here ya go!

Good morning world

It's a grey day out there, here on the south shore of Nova Scotia. They are calling for 5-10 cms of snow before tonight. The panic was on last night when we realized Breanna didn't have any boots. So off to the store we go to get boots so now it's not calling for as much snow as it was.

Josh got his report card last week, great marks! First year in Jr. High and off for a week for surgery and he still pulled off a good report card. He had 98 on science, much better than his mother ever did. LOL

Breanna's Christmas concert is tomorrow night so she'll be all dolled up to sing a few songs. I hate going to the concerts, so many people, the older I get the more I hate crowds.

Well I think I'll head off for a nap, LOL, or try to anyway. Have a great one!

Good Morn...oops...Good Afternoon!

I went back to bed this morning when the kids left for school so I'm not sure what time of day it is. LOL Been working lots this week, split shifts and lots of nights so I'm very tired. I work tonight and then again in the morning so I thought I'd grab a few extra zzzz's when I had the chance. I'll be glad when Sunday gets here. I work tonight, tomorrow, Friday night and Saturday night. Saturday afternoon is Breanna's birthday party, we are going to paint some pottery. Then on Sunday Nanny & Papa will come down for supper and cake, because Sunday is her birthday.

Today I have to take Josh to the pediatrition for his check up. We went to the city on Monday to get his leg checked. The Dr said it looks good and showed me the x-ray of his foot, it looks so weird with those big staples in it. He isn't impressed that Josh is still having pain, since he doesn't have feeling in most of his foot. But he's got permission to go back to normal as much as he can.

Speaking of Drs appointments, I have to go for my yearly CAT scan next Friday on my back. I'm sure it won't show much different but Gary likes to check to see how much worse it gets every year.

Along with everything else this weekend, we'll try and get the Christmas lights up so I can turn them on the 1st. I'll soon start to panic about not being ready, I do it every year. I'm sure if I sat down and figured out what I have to get it won't be as much as I think. It'll come and go just as it does every year.

Anyway, time to dry my hair and get the laundry done, Josh will be home at 2 and we'll head to town for his Drs appointment.

LATER Peoples!
