My boy is 13 years old today, a teenager, how did that happen??? 13 years, 12 surgeries, he's come so far and has made us so proud. Keep up the great work big guy! We love you!
He's having some friends over for supper and cake and one friend is staying out in the tent for the night. It's a little cloudy so we hope we don't get any rain.

Summer birthdays for kids are the best (I speak from experience). Camping outside in the tent with a friend? It can't get better than that--at least until he's 16 and sneaking out of the house to stir up trouble (God forbid!).
SOunds like he's been through a lot in his 13 years. My birthday hope for him is that the next 13 allow him to rest a bit!
