Here comes a Nor'easter

And it sounds like our first big storm of the year is on it's way. We've been very lucky so far. Between tonight and tomorrow we could get 10-30 cms of snow, the forcast keeps changing so we don't know for sure what's coming. I'm off today, well except for skating this afternoon. I'm spose to work tomorrow night but that will depend on how much snow is down. One of my co-workers lives a little closer and is right on the main road so she'll probably go in for me if I don't want to go out in it.

Our baby girl is at the vet waiting to have her operation today. I'm sure she's not a happy campper at the moment. Snowball is wondering around the house looking like he's lost. I think he misses her even though she bugs the crap out of him. Josh has pics of the cats on his blog, the addy is over there ---->

For anyone that has been reading but doesn't know what Josh is going to the hospital for, it's called Bladder Augmentation. They will take a piece of his bowel and patch it on to his bladder to make it bigger. Right now his bladder can only hold 3oz. So even though it's going to be hell to get through, it will be worth it in the long run. Right now it's just hard for him to look past the 2 weeks in the hospital.

Well I should go have a nap now that the kids are gone to school, LOL. My back has been bothering me the last couple of days, probably due to the storm that's coming, for God sakes I sound like my Grammie. LOL

Stay tuned, I'm sure tomorrow I'll have some storm pictures to post.

Back at em!

The kids are back to the grind this morning, after having a snow day yesterday. They went out to play for awhile and then came in and worked on school work. Josh has 4 tests this week so the extra study time was a good thing. Wait till next year, he'll be doing exams! That will be fun, NOT! He's also trying to get 15 reading assignments ahead before he goes in the hospital. I know the first week he won't get any homework done so that will be one less thing to worry about.

Doug is still trying to switch his vacation around to get it to work out best. He's going to take floaters for the day Josh has surgery and the next day, since Josh will be in the ICU for at least that long. Then he'll go back to work for the rest of the week. The following week he'll take his vacation and with any luck we can get Josh home before the end of that weekend, if not I'll have to come home and take the van back in so I can bring him home. I can only have 2 weeks off before the computer at work decides I don't work there anymore, so I will come out and work a short shift and then go back in. I'm still waiting on the call from the nurse to tell us what time we have to be there on Sunday. Sunday and Monday are going to be long days, even longer for Josh, he'll be doing the bowel prep and can't eat after Sat.

Well I should go try and have a nap, I didn't sleep too great last night, nerves are shot and I'll be glad when this is all over so life can return to it's somewhat normal state. But then again, normal is just a setting on your dryer. :)

Monday blahs

What's worse than Monday? A cold grey Monday with 5-10 cms of snow in the forcast. Uckk, we are so spoiled by the winter we've been having. Oh yea, and I have to work tonight too. Uck! LOL

Breanna skated yesterday, she's busy getting ready for the competition on the 5th. She loves skating, so far, but if some day she decides it's not fun anymore, she'll be done. There's times I wish I could have kept going when I was younger but you know it got to the point that it cost more than a 40ozer and Mom decided I was done. LOL I only wish it was that cheap now! I'm still not getting very good pictures at the rink, I'll take the camera with me again tomorrow and keep tying with different settings. I know I haven't had any pics of Josh with the new camera but believe me you will see plenty when we are in the hospital, I'm taking the camera with us, along with the other 1000 things on my list. I think I'll need a truck.

If you want to be added to the email list for when we are in the hospital let me know. As long as the compter is working okay in there I'll be sending daily updates to friends and family, well, most of my family. LOL

So I guess it's time to go finish the laundry and watch the weather network. Later!

Help!

OMG, I'm taking a break from cleaning Miss Breanna's room. Why can't this kid understand that when Mommy cleans it things go missing and there's more trash than normal.

Not much new here. Still trying to combine work, CanSkate and getting ready to go to the hospital with Josh. We are 3 weeks 2 days away and I still haven't found anyone to stay with Breanna, it's not looking good. I told Doug it's time to pack up and head out west, atleast I'd have my sister to help me out.

Josh is very nervous and moody. Added to the upcoming surgery, he's been getting bullied again at school, freaking kids. Why do they have to be so mean? It scares the shit out of me to see how bad they upset him. That said, I'm waiting for a call from the guidence counseller at school.

Anyway, time to head back to the pig sty and see if i can find a pink room there somewhere.

Ohhh, the pic, have you ever seen such a look of, "MOM! Did you see that???"

Week 2 of 2006

What's up? Not much going on in the new year here, all is quiet and quiet is good. The kids are back into the routine of school after their Christmas break, things are back to normal.

We are getting a new computer this week! I had hoped it would be here today but since I haven't gotten a call I'd say it's not today. It will probably be tomorrow, I work nights and then all day on Thurs. so I won't get to play. *pout* I'm more excited about getting a new camera, I love my camera, can't wait to get some good skating pictures.

The time is getting closer for Josh's operation and as it gets closer, Mommy panics some more. I am dreading this but it's got to be done and there's no "good" time to do it. I've talked to some of the teachers, he's doing well this year and they think we can get through this without him getting too behind. I sure hope so, I know the first week he's not going to be able to do any work.

Speaking of Josh, he has a check up next Monday, as long as there's no snow. This is for his leg, where I'm sure the Dr. will say, "Oh Mom, that looks GREAT, I did a wonderful job!" Ya, okay, Doc, the foot looks better but the poor kid doesn't walk any better than he did before!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF did we put him through that for?????????? OMG!
I hope to get a new blog ready for his surgery, his other one is all messed up and he'd like it to look more interesting, which would be fine, if his mother had a clue what she was doing. LOL

Anyway, time to figure out what I'm going to feed the kids before Breanna and I take off for our 4 hours in the rink.
