This isn't fun anymore! Yes I know we need the rain, the lakes are down the forests are dry, but give me a break! We are all going to be turning green from the mildew.
So it's another rainy day on the south shore. I'd love to crawl back in bed and sleep the day away but I'm getting ready to go to work.
I didn't go to the hypnotist last night, oh well, one thing at a time. Tomorrow Wendy H and I are going to start going to Curves. I'm looking forward to that, along with walking we should be doing good.
Oh, I forgot to mention, we are going to Halifax the first weekend in June. We are going in Friday night and spending the day at the Spina Bifida Slowpitch tournament on Saturday. Josh has been asked to be the honorary umpire. We're all pretty excited about it, we've never been in to the tournament, it's the biggest fundraiser that the Association has.
Anyway, time to head to work. Have a great one, the weekend is almost here!

It's May! Wow, how did that happen? The months seem to be flying by, soon the blackflies will be out, the fire truck will be coming to fill the pool and then the kids will be on summer vacation.
So now that I am not hungover, I can tell you a bit about our night out. A friend was home from Ont. that I went to Air Cadets with. I haven't seen him for probably 10 years or more. A bunch of us went out to the bar, there wasn't anyone around but that was fine, it gave us a chance to talk, we talked about old time and some of the foolish things we did. It was so funny when someone would remember something that one of us forgot, scary actually, when you think I was only 14 and 15 at the time. There was 3 of us there from our cadet group, so the stories were flying. LOL It was great to see Jack, I hope another 10 years doesn't go by before we meet up again. We ended up going to Doolys, where everyone looked 20 years younger than me and didn't have any clothes on, I swear there is a material shortage going on in NS. I think I'll just continue to cover up my rolls, I don't like to show them off. LOL
So I have today off and I have to get some cleaning done. I just finished the tub and shower walls. Next on my list is to wash the floors. I was just talking to the boss for a minute, we're thinking of going to see Romane the hypnotist on Wed. I'd love to go but won't go by myself so I'll wait for her to decide. If we go, it will be to the stop smoking seminar. Now that I have 30lbs off it's time to take the next step and I hope that I don't gain the weight back. I have no will power at all when it comes to smoking, I've tried to quit before and haven't lasted long. I have to keep telling myself that I have to do it, not just for me but for Doug and the kids too. I'll have extra money to pay the bills and maybe take the kids away for a few days this summer.
Anyway, time to get back to cleaning before I get glued to my chair here. Have a great week everyone!

So I'm not as young as I used to be
And boy do I know it today. We went out last night with some friends and had a few...a few too many that is. LOL I went to bed at 4am, got up at 11 and worked in the yard all day, then went for a bit of a walk tonight. Soon time to shower, veg out with Extreme Home Makeover and then hit the hay. I'll post more tomorrow about our night out.

Let's try this again
Yesterday I had a big ol' post done and blogger decided that I didn't need it so *poof* it was gone. I guess I should type them up in word and then paste them here.
When I took Doug to work this morning it looked like it was going to clear off and the sun was going to come out, now it's all cloudy again. I hope it clears before tonight so Wendy and I can get for our walk.
Today is my only day off till Sunday and I have lots of things that I need to get done, mostly cleaning and phone calls. I'm making arraingements for Josh to have a lift put on his shoe, that will add some length to that leg and should help him walk better. Along with that, he'll need a new pair of sneakers. So I have threatened him that he's never to go through mud puddles because his shoes will be worth too much money, LOL. Between the shoes and the orthotic it will probably be around $500.00. I think it's time for my father's lotto numbers to come up so we can win some money, like that's going to happen, but we can always dream eh? I also have to call the IWK but I think I'll do that tomorrow because they will be in clinic and it's easier to get answers. When he irrigates his bladder he's getting blood, fresh blood, I have no idea where it's coming from but I don't like it at all. So I'll call tomorrow and talk to Kim or Colleen and get them to check with his urologist.
Breanna got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, imagine that! She was not in a good mood. She's tired of the winter clothes and wants to dress for summer, which will be fine, when we get some nice weather. Then she didn't want to take Doug to work, then she couldn't get her hair right, now she's gone to school, ahhh the sound of silence.
Well I should get some work done, I have to go have my B12 shot later today and go give Pharmasave some money, I swear we keep that place open. Later!

Monday update
So here we are at Monday again, boy the time is sure going by fast. Next thing we know the kids will be out of school for the summer. It's an icky day here, cold and rainy, foggy and just plain miserable. A good day to stay in your jammies, I just had to get out of mine since I have to go to work.
We had a nice weekend, Wendy H. and I have gone for a walk the last 4 nights, we hope that tomorrow night it won't be raining so we can go. I have to get some new sneakers, mine are hurting my feet so it's time to invest in a new pair. I also have to get Josh a new pair since he is having orthotics made for his sneakers, another idea to help him with his walking. Since there is an inch difference in the length of his legs this might be a big help.
One day left of skating!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!! I can't wait for it to be over for a few months. Yesterday it was so nice I hated to go into the cold rink for 2 hours. Breanna goes back and forth, some days she's happy it's over for awhile, other times she says she's going to miss it. I'm sure once we get nice weather and the pool goes up she'll be glad that it's over.
The boss just called, tried to convince her that it's a jammie day but she doesn't agree, everyone tell her she's being a meany.LOL So I better get ready for work so I can go bug her for a few hours. Later people!
