XBox 360

Tiss the season, or so I'm told anyway! Actually I'm sitting here watching the Santa Claus Parade on TV right now and can not believe that it's as close as it is. I would love to start shopping so I really hope that I win the lottery tonight. LOL The other big celebration of this time of year is coming on Friday, that would be Brea's 12th birthday.

Anyway, back to this Christmas thing. I've had a very hard time this year trying to find out what my kids want. Josh has gone back and forth on a few things but I think he's finally decided that he wants a
xbox 360 and the new call of duty game. So I've been doing some shopping around, trying to find the best deal around. Now that he has made up his mind and I know what I'm after, we have to wait for the other child to decide what she'd like Santa to bring her!

Another late night for me

So here I am, sitting up late while everyone is gone to bed, actually, I like this time of night, this is my time, the only ones bugging me are the cats. Today was a holiday so the kids were home with me. Josh left for awhile this morning to go do some work in town. And Megan came down to spend the day with Breanna.

We went to the Dr. yesterday and got our flu shots, we all had the normal flu shot and Josh also got the H1N1, Brea and I will get ours when it's our turn, I'm sure we could have lied and gotten it but I think it's best if everyone is fair about it. We're probably all going to get the H1N1 flu sooner or later anyway. Josh was sick last week but I don't think that's what he had.

Today I've been having an awful day, everything is taking me to tears, the baby shows, the wedding shows, Swiss Chalet commercial where they played I'll be home for Christmas, gawd, maybe going off my antidepressants wasn't such a great idea. I'm just so worried about money, I'm getting disconnect notices, Brea's birthday is in 2 weeks and Christmas is 4 weeks after that and I have nothing...nothing.

GMAT Prep

The GMAT stands for Graduate Management Admission Test. It is administered by Graduate Management Admission Council (or GMAC) and required for admission to most U.S., Canadian, and European business school MBA programs. Also, the GMAT test result can be used for admission to business PhD program, such as Harvard Business School DBA program. Do you have a GMAT test coming up and need to get ready? If you do, you need to do some GMAT prep so you are sure you are ready to write and ready to pass!

Jamaica

It's only November and we are still getting nice weather but I'm already heading into a "it's winter, I'm not leaving the house" feeling. I would love nothing better than to pack up the family in Feb. or March and head south to soak up some sun. If you are thinking of a winter get-away, think about a trip to jamaica. Visit Jamaica, home of Reggae and Relaxation and don't forget to pick me up on your way. K? :)

Time to start thinking about Christmas

Here we are in the second week of November and I haven't started shopping yet, I hate doing it this way, I hit panic mode. Shopping has to wait till the end of November, when, I hope, I'll have enough money to get my shopping done. Breanna's birthday comes first and I've agreed to a better birthday present if she doesn't have a party, which will turn out a good deal for me. Last year she had a skating party with her BFF and it still cost us over $100.00. This year that's not possible, she'll be lucky to get her gift in time. Of course what she wants I have to order off the net and in order to do that, you need a credit card, which I don't have anymore, so that's a little more difficult.

Josh is just getting over something, they say the only thing around is H1N1 but if that's what he had, he didn't have it too bad, just a few days of a fever and a cough. Tomorrow afternoon, we'll all go get our flu shots, Josh qualifies to have the H1N1 so he'll have that too, Brea and I will wait our turn to have our H1N1. The panic is slowing down so I'm sure within a couple of weeks everyone will be able to have their shot. Even if we get the flu we'll still get the shot, they say they don't think you can get it again but I'm not taking any chances. Doug of course, won't have any shots, because he's a wimp. LOL

Well I should head out to get some milk, the mail and deliver some Avon. Have a great week everyone, it's a short work week with a day off in the middle, doesn't matter to me, every day is a day off for now...

AC Filters

Is it time to change you filters in your house? For both safety reasons and saving money, you need to change your filters when the time comes. If you are looking for some AC filters you really need to check out some of the things that I have found. I know that we don't need to look for anything for our AC right now since we will be living in the cold for the next few months but some lucky people will need to replace their AC filters now and after you get that done, send me your address so that I can come spend the winter. :)

A very dreary November day

So this is my second "official" day home with no job, even though I've been off since Aug. It's raining cats and dogs today, maybe even a few hamsters...just a good day to stay in the house and do some catching up on things. Unfortunately I don't have any reading material on hand but I'll fix that when Doug gets home at 4, I'm heading over to the library with a whole list of books that I want. Days like this are days that I just want to sit and read or work on the computer, with the dampness my back hurts more than most days and I didn't get much sleep last night.

I've been going through all of my Avon material and trying to find some new shoppers. Avon is one of those businesses that you get out what you put into it so I'm going to be putting a lot into it in the next couple of months. So if you know of anyone who's looking for someone to buy Avon, send them my way, it doesn't matter if they live here or out west, we'll figure it all out.
